I looked ahead, recalling as I spoke, "Do you know that I once liked you?" "Hmm?" Her tone revealed a hint of surprise. "I just never had the courage to tell you, afraid of ruining your relationship with Zhengjie. After you left, I could only think of you through this red bean, longing for you." I spoke slowly. "But today, I'm going to return this red bean to you." "Why?" she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of a smile. "Because... I have more important people to protect and long for now." I lowered my head, smiling as I said. "Is that girl named Xiao Rong, right?" she said. "Hmm." I nodded with a smile. But then, she placed the necklace back in my hand and took my hand, saying, "You don't need to return the necklace to me. Maybe you haven't realized it, but you've already put your longing for Xiao Rong into the red bean!" "My longing for Xiao Rong," I murmured, lowering my head. "Hmm, you've always been uncertain about love and weak in love. I'm glad to see such a big change in you after coming back this time." She gently patted my head, looking at me. "From the way Xiao Rong looks at you and the way you talk about her, I can see that you've already found your happiness. You must hold onto it tightly and don't let it slip away!" "Our happiness?" I thought to myself as I smiled and said to her, "I will surely hold onto the happiness that belongs to me and Xiao Rong tightly!"
