Features: The 43 papers included in this book are my academic writings on the history of the pre-Qin and Western Han periods, with the exception of a few, all of which have been published in journals. The earliest paper was published in 1978, and the latest in 2001, spanning a period of 24 years. To preserve the original form of the articles, only typographical errors were corrected during the compilation of this collection, while everything else remained unchanged. Due to the continuous evolution of the historical context in the past two decades, as well as the diversification of theoretical approaches, coupled with my gradually deepening understanding of many issues, some of my articles exhibit inconsistencies or even contradictions in their viewpoints.
