Publish Date: 1999-07-01
Features: The first to fourth volumes of Modern Spanish are practical textbooks for oral and written language courses for undergraduate students in their first and second years of Spanish major in higher education institutions. They basically retain the structure and format of Spanish published by Commercial Press (same editors), but the text content is almost entirely updated to meet the needs of the times. Additionally, considering the improvement in students' learning abilities, the arrangement of grammatical difficulties is correspondingly concentrated, and the vocabulary volume is significantly increased. To facilitate students' understanding and mastery, the translation of grammatical terms has been appropriately adjusted according to the common expressions used in Chinese and English teaching in China. The number of texts in each volume is arranged based on a 18-week teaching schedule per semester. The first volume contains 24 lessons, with the first 12 lessons focusing on pronunciation training, teaching 2 lessons per week (based on a 10-hour/week calculation, 4 hours for 1 lesson, 1 hour for review). The last 12 lessons focus on grammar and vocabulary while maintaining pronunciation training, teaching 1 lesson per week. Most common grammatical items are taught in the first three volumes.
