Features: In today's world, a vast amount of written material is published. The explanatory text far exceeds pure pictorial creation. Many professional designers—authors who are quite persuasive, eloquent, eager to impart knowledge, and commendable, with professional qualities—have written so much that when I began to pen these contents, I felt as if I were taking a risk. But I am well aware that what we authors present and describe is only a part of history. And anyone who possesses a part of history must take responsibility for it. Recognizing this, I approach this task with the due humility, ready to recount those experiences I now consider to be such, to tell about the things accumulated over decades, about the things I deem important or serious, about the things I believe to be decisive or meaningful in my career. I do not want this book to be a work log, because if it were, I would need to present more than what is written here. The expression in this book is too personal, so it is not a theoretical declaration; perhaps it can be seen as chalk marks on the floor that mark the time I have spent.
