Features: Fundamentally speaking, government procurement is a product of the development of modern market economies and an inevitable requirement for the planning, integrity, and efficiency of government actions. China began practicing government procurement in places like Shanghai and Hebei in late 1995, and by 1998, the reform of government procurement systems was vigorously carried out across the country. Ten years of government procurement practice have proven that it greatly benefits the transformation of government management from extensive to intensive, strengthens macro-control of the financial system, enhances the functions of finance, effectively utilizes funds, and optimizes resource allocation. To summarize the experiences and lessons of China's ten years of government procurement from both theoretical and practical perspectives, we have compiled this book based on numerous research findings, grounded in our own viewpoints and approaches, hoping to make some contributions to the future development of government procurement in China.
