"Examining market efficiency and exploring the essence of investment" was the original intention of the founders of Capital Market Review, and also the purpose of publishing Essentials of Capital Market Review. The term "examining" does not merely advocate criticism or negation but rather emphasizes careful reflection, responsibility, and suggestions. Essentials of Capital Market Review uses the light of thought to illuminate the history and present of the capital market, guiding its future with the fire of wisdom. It seeks to explore the essence of investment with a rational humanistic spirit and a practical, insightful approach. This collection includes articles published in Capital Market Review since January 2003. Some of these articles explore the evolutionary characteristics of modern finance from the perspective of capital market development; others study the similarities and differences of various financial models from a diverse angle; some examine the qualitative definitions of modern finance from a theoretical foundation; others discuss and analyze current financial policies, particularly those of the capital market, based on real-world observations; and some summarize the experiences and lessons learned from mature market economies in the field of finance. These articles reflect the authors' exploration and reflections on modern finance, especially the capital market.
