If you want to be respected by flawed humans, you must be even more perfect than they are, and they will respect you. But if you truly do that, you will lose yourself, lose your soul, and lose your spiritual freedom. And if you don’t, you will lose your place in life, even your life. This is the dilemma created by traditional education, despite its many beneficial contributions to human growth. So far, I have summarized over a hundred such dilemmas created by traditional education. Why does this happen? It is mainly due to the imperfections in the foundation, content, methods, and other aspects of traditional education. These issues not only require moderate improvements but also demand thorough reflection and reconstruction. Traditional education has done a lot of useful work. However, it has inherent flaws. The world is dialectical—where there is a benefit, there is also a drawback. While education brings us benefits, it also fills us with countless spiritual garbage and sows hundreds of serious disease seeds for future development, something it never anticipated. These include conditions like subjectivity, immaturity, conformity, future-obsession, and fundamentalism, among others. Only when you begin to judge education comprehensively will you be shocked. But today, the vast majority of scholars who receive salaries are unwilling to do this tedious work or even fail to realize that such a task exists. They are waiting for the days to pass quickly, waiting for the salary that is about to arrive, the reward. They themselves are living in a state of beggary—how can you expect a beggar to give you anything? It is absolutely impossible. If you want some fragments of happiness, you only need to practice full awareness. If you want physical energy and a secure livelihood, you only need to practice dialectics and rationality. If you already have food and clothing and your animalistic needs are met, you will then pursue a more harmonious, abundant, and transcendent life. In that case, I suggest you embark on the path of enlightenment! Remember, I am only suggesting this because you are your own master. All the great figures in the world, whether scientists or politicians, eventually have to enter the vast and profound spiritual homeland. Because only there can your life achieve ultimate unity and harmony, you can have continuous peak experiences, you can be in deep joy, and you can truly live in the sunlight. Only then does your wandering soul truly return home! All the great figures in the world, whether scientists or politicians, eventually have to enter the vast and profound spiritual homeland. This book is Zhou Guoping’s spiritual homeland. In this book, Zhou Guoping, through life philosophies, calls for the wandering soul to return home. Come back! Soul that has wandered for many years. Come back! I have driven away ignorance. Come home! Stop wandering. Come home! This is your warm bed. Come home! There is a light waiting for you.
