Features: To better advance the construction of teaching materials for higher vocational and technical colleges in our province, the Hubei Provincial Department of Education initiated the development of a series of professional textbooks for higher vocational and technical education in Hubei Province this year. The guiding principle is to adhere to the laws of higher education, highlight the characteristics of higher vocational education, fully absorb the successful experiences of higher vocational and technical colleges in cultivating applied technical talents and teaching reform in recent years, and combine the actual professional construction and teaching work of higher vocational and technical colleges in Hubei Province. The focus is on developing a series of professional textbooks, organizing professional teachers from relevant colleges in the province to write textbooks for related majors in phases. The textbook development emphasizes behavioral orientation, enhancing relevance and practicality, reflecting the requirements of adaptability, practicality, and conciseness, and prioritizing the cultivation of students' practical abilities. At the same time, the construction of textbooks should not only focus on the reform of content and systems but also innovate the system structure and writing format, while also paying attention to the reform of methods and approaches. It must stay in tune with the times to meet the actual needs of talent at all levels in response to technological development and economic construction. The teachers who participated in the writing of the "21st Century Higher Vocational and Technical Education Series Textbooks" were recommended by universities and strictly selected by the Hubei Provincial Department of Education. They have long been engaged in higher vocational and technical education, are familiar with professional teaching work, and possess rich teaching experience.
