Features: Garfield, born on June 19, 1978, has sold over 13 million books since his debut and has 26 million readers worldwide. Garfield stands out for his "vices" such as "telling sarcastic remarks, napping in the sun, gulping down coffee, devouring lasagna, chasing spiders, and chasing mail carriers." Compared to his predecessor, Tom from Tom and Jerry, while Garfield is also diligent in comedy, his "aircraft carrier-like physique and domineering attitude" make him impossible to be labeled as an "idol." However, it is his more "humanized" traits that made him a star. As Jim Davis, the "father" of Garfield, the cartoonist,s: "People love Garfield because the things he says and does are exactly what everyone wants to say and do but can't." Happy 26th birthday, Garfield! Garfield, a cat who loves material pleasures, lazy, rude, and full of complaints, is charming, accompanied by a full-star cast: Jon, his unlucky owner; Liz, the beautiful veterinarian; Emma, the waitress; Lemmy, Jon's friend; Odie, the often-pranked puppy; Nemo, the world's most beautiful cat; and Chuck, the teddy bear that Garfield likes to hug.
