Features: Out of the 1004 years of story works, there are four remarkable aspects.
First, the output of story works has significantly increased compared to previous years. The main condition for achieving this result is the rapid development of story journals (including newspapers). In 2004, it surged to over 50 types, and if you add those informal story publications, there were as many as 130 story-related publications across the country.
Second, the themes of the story works are diverse and rich. The 60 works selected for this collection cover ancient and modern, domestic and foreign. Even within the "New Stories · New Legends" section alone, the themes are varied. The various themes and characters reflect the colorful and multifaceted life of our time.
Third, the expressive techniques of the story works are diverse. Although most of the story works still inherit traditional storytelling methods, many have made breakthroughs and tried new approaches. In structure, they have a touch of literary flavor, some no longer emphasize plot but focus on emotion, and in language, they are more free.
Fourth, there are many emerging authors. Among the over 60 authors in this collection, one-third have recently emerged and have shown strong potential from the start, leaving people impressed. Examples include Xu Yang, Ruofeng, Lu Xixi, Luoye Pingzong, Bao Chaozan, Lu Dankuo, He Xuan, and Wu Hongqing, etc.
