Features: Ye Guangqin is a Manchu from Beijing who moved to Shaanxi in 1968. She studied at Chiba University in Japan in 1990 and is currently the standing vice president of the Xi'an Literature and Art Federation and a first-class writer. Her major works include the novel Cui Sang Zi (A Dream of Mulberry Picking), the short story Huang Lian Hou (Bitter Melon), and others. The short story Meng Ye He Cheng Dao Xie Qiao (Dream Never Reaches Xie Bridge) won the Second Lu Xun Literature Prize, and the long-form No Diary Luo Fu River received the Seventh National Ethnic Literature Ma Award. Cui Sang Zi and Zhuo Yu Ji (A Story of Jade Carving) were translated into Japanese and published by Japanese publishing houses Kōron Shōten and Bai Di Shōten, respectively. This book tells the stories of Japan as known by the author.
