Features: One year ago today, on April 20, 2003, the massive Boeing 777 plane took me from the sky to the ground of New Zealand, an island nation in the Southern Hemisphere. Time flies, and when I recall the farewell at Beijing Airport a year ago, it feels like yesterday. The moment I stepped out of Auckland Airport, the sky with its blue clouds, resembling a painting, seemed to still be before my eyes. Yet in the blink of an eye, it has already been a full year! Reflecting on these 365 days of overseas student life, hardship, loneliness, choices, challenges, and achievements have filled every minute of my life. My experiences have been truly a mix of sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy—full of flavors, more exciting and unforgettable than any year I spent in China. Over the course of this year, I have had many experiences.
