Features: The army is the solid backing of national security and the strong pillar of social stability. Building a revolutionary, standardized, and modernized army with strong combat capabilities is a grand goal of China's military construction. To achieve this grand goal, the army's exit and entry must remain open at all times. On one hand, it is essential to allow qualified new personnel to smoothly enter the military organization. On the other hand, it is necessary to enable military personnel (including soldiers and officers) who are no longer suited to the modernization of the army to exit the military organization smoothly. Therefore, some active-duty officers retiring from the military and finding new employment in civilian life is an objective necessity for enhancing the army's combat capabilities and achieving the grand goal of building a revolutionary, standardized, and modernized army. It is also a realistic and inevitable phenomenon in China's socialist modernization. Exploring the patterns of career role transformation for retired officers and developing strategies to accelerate this transformation has become a topic of significant practical value.
