Since 1969, Bob Pike has been involved in the development and implementation of training programs in commercial, industrial, government, and other fields. As the president of three companies—International Creative Training Techniques, Organizational Resources, and Resources Group—Pike organizes over 150 research workshops annually, covering topics such as leadership, attitude, motivation, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, personal and organizational effectiveness, conflict management, team building, and productivity management. Over 50,000 trainers have participated in Pike’s "Creative Training Techniques" workshops.
As a consultant, he has had the pleasure of collaborating with companies such as American Express Upjohn, Hallmark Cards Inc., IBM, PSEG, Bally’s Casino Resort, and Shell Oil Company. Since joining the American Society for Training & Development in 1972, he has served on three national design teams for the organization, held the position of supervisor for special interest teams, and served as a member of the national board of directors.
