Features: This book introduces the concepts of data processing, data structures, and data management in a step-by-step manner. By introducing data structures, it enables readers to become familiar with and use common data structures in programming environments to solve practical problems. By introducing data management, it equips readers with the knowledge, operations, and skills to manage large volumes of data. The book follows two main threads throughout: one is the inheritance and development of object-oriented concepts, and the other is the gradual increase in data scale.
From Chapter 1 to Chapter 6, the book introduces data structure knowledge based on the Java language. It begins by establishing a basic linear list class, which is then inherited and developed into data structures such as stacks, queues, general lists, and graphs. Starting with a regular binary tree, it forms complex data structures like threaded binary trees, sorted binary trees, and balanced binary trees by inheriting member variables and member methods. By encapsulating the storage forms and operational methods of many common data structures, a new data processing platform is created.
From Chapter 8 to Chapter 13, the book introduces common data management knowledge using the Oracle database system as the experimental platform. This includes database architecture, SQL language, common data management tools, database security, and practical database design, enabling readers to gain knowledge, operations, and skills in large-scale databases.
Following the approach from common in-memory data structures to files, then from files to database storage, and further extending to the use and management of database servers, the book systematically introduces practical techniques and knowledge of data storage (data structures) and data management (database technology). It also includes numerous exercises, practical Java programs, SQL statements, and Oracle database operation commands.
This book is suitable for students or readers with some programming experience.
