Young people, go ahead and release your hopes, create miracles! The sky of dreams is yours to soar in. Surpass your dreams, let them fly! Here is your starting point for dreams to take flight! If life is like a treasure map, with only one treasure at the end, then taking a wrong path is just taking a detour. If we ultimately reach the destination, our choices won’t be so painful. As for me, I find my journey’s scenery to be beautiful and picturesque, no matter whether I ultimately find a greater treasure or not. — Wu Xiaoli
This book aims to prepare you for the role of a host before you become one, helping you understand the profession and see if you have the qualities to become a host. I think this concept is excellent and beneficial. The author of this book, Tian Fang, is a seasoned host with over 20 years of experience in broadcasting and hosting. Now serving as a station leader, he has been responsible for host management and training. Drawing from his work and practical experience, he has compiled this book. Reading it, I feel he has earnestly and diligently undertaken a highly effective task. The first half of the book explains the profession of a host from an ontological perspective, introducing the work environment of hosts, allowing young people new to the industry to gain an in-depth and systematic understanding of it. The second half explores, from a perspective of epistemology, the qualities successful hosts possess, the external conditions for success, the experiences of successful hosts, and the insights they offer. In essence, this is a great book that guides young people into the industry.
I hope society can offer more understanding and support to hosts, and that those who aspire to become hosts can gain more insight and recognition of the profession. I also hope that practicing hosts can engage in more rational self-reflection on their career.
