Features: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) holds the belief that "medicines and foods share the same origin." Medicines can be considered foods, and foods can be regarded as medicines. They are rooted in the same source, used in the same way, and achieve the same effects. According to the principles of TCM, many small medicinal dishes or health-preserving and health-enhancing foods offer benefits such as improving eyesight, blackening hair, boosting intelligence, calming the mind, enhancing beauty, moisturizing the skin, invigorating Yang, and promoting longevity. Others may have therapeutic effects like relieving external symptoms, clearing heat, resolving phlegm, promoting Qi flow, activating blood circulation, removing blood stasis, and aiding digestion. Some may even combine both benefits. Based on this, we invited several renowned TCM experts, medicinal dish specialists, and culinary masters to explore and compile classic works on food therapy and dietary care from ancient and modern times. We then edited and published the "Home Medicinal Dishes" series, consisting of five volumes: Home Medicinal Dishes: Tonifying the Kidneys and Invigorating Yang, Home Medicinal Dishes: Dispelling Wind and Removing Dampness, Home Medicinal Dishes: Clearing Heat and Detoxifying, Home Medicinal Dishes: Nourishing the Heart and Calming the Mind, and Home Medicinal Dishes: Beautifying and Slimming. The series aims to recommend practical and effective small medicinal dishes to readers with professional insights. The cooking methods described in this book are simple and convenient, with easy-to-understand text, making it suitable for home preparation. It is highly practical and demonstrates remarkable efficacy.
