Features: Fu Shan, styled Qingzhu, was a native of Xicun, Yangqu County, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. He was born in the Dingmei year (1607) of the Ming Dynasty and passed away in the Jiazi year (1693) of the Qing Dynasty. Fu Shan was not only a renowned anti-Qing political activist at the time but also an exceptionally talented individual, proficient in classics, poetry, calligraphy, painting, and medicine. He was hailed as the "Sage of Medicine" in the medical community. His medical works are meticulous, accessible, and meticulously formulated, with insightful discussions that transcend the ordinary. As the saying goes, "Discussing symptoms without falling into the traps of ancient conventions, yet formulating prescriptions that adhere to the standards of the ancients," his works have proven incredibly effective in clinical practice, a rarity in the world. To facilitate the study of medicine for contemporary practitioners, this collection combines the "Fu Qingzhu's Gynecology and Obstetrics," printed by Jin Yitang in the autumn of the Bingshu year (1886) of the Guangxu era, with other medical works of Fu Shan discovered after the founding of the People's Republic of China. The works have been collated, edited, and duplicates removed for publication, making them more accessible for readers to study and apply.
