Features: There are numerous circulating versions of the book "Three Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty," and the number of poems included varies across different versions. This book is based on the "Three Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty with Annotations and Explanations" published by Shaanxi Provincial Library in the Daoguang Dingwei year (1837). This edition includes a total of 321 Tang poems, 11 more than the commonly used versions, making it the version with the most poems among all others. "Three Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty" selects over 310 Tang poems, following the naming convention of "Three Hundred Poems," which carries both the deep significance of inheriting the tradition of the "Book of Songs" and a commitment to selecting the finest works of Tang poetry. The book is divided into eight volumes, categorized into six types of poetry: Five-Character Ancient Poetry, Seven-Character Ancient Poetry, Five-Character Regulated Verse, Seven-Character Regulated Verse, Five-Character Quatrain, and Seven-Character Quatrain, with the Yuefu poems appended to each category, covering all major forms of Tang poetry. The selected Tang poems not only include the masterpieces that embody the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty but also represent the works of renowned poets from the early, mid-, and late Tang periods. Additionally, it does not overlook the outstanding works of lesser-known poets, truly achieving the goal of compiling the best and most celebrated poems.
