At the same time, it emphasizes the spatial existence of the century-long literary history, encompassing regional literatures to form a unified literary history of regional integration. The century-long history of China has endured vicissitudes, suffering from both the aggression of imperialism and the corruption of bourgeois consciousness, as well as artificial oppression from political ideologies and the influence of bourgeois decay. In the process, regional literatures emerged. If different regional literatures are observed not primarily from an ideological perspective but from the perspective of literature itself, they undoubtedly belong to the unified modern Chinese literature. Taiwan literature, Hong Kong literature, and Macau literature naturally fall within the scope of the century-long literary history of China. Therefore, this literary history incorporates corresponding chapters to discuss Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau literatures, highlighting their diverse literary achievements and contributions to the modernization of the century-long literature, while also demonstrating the spatial completeness and integration of literary history.
