Features: The tiny Iceland, covering only 100,000 square kilometers, is home to over 100 volcanoes. Iceland spans the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (also known as the Rift), a part of the Earth's crust frozen system, where lava erupts. Underground natural hot springs supply hot water to Icelandic homes, fill swimming pools, and enable the cultivation of unique crops, producing export products. As a result: the world's highest standard of living and clean air. The world's third-largest glacier covers most of Iceland's southeastern area, slowly moving toward the sea. The friction generated beneath the ice layer melts some of the ice, and water accumulates in lakes under the glacier. When the lake becomes too full, water will overflow from beneath the glacier, flooding fields and forming glacial outburst floods.
