Features: The ageing cause of China has gone through 20 years of development from 1982 to 2002. Over these two decades, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and with the support of all sectors of society, the ageing cause has achieved comprehensive development and remarkable accomplishments. To objectively and authentically reflect the historical progress of China's ageing cause, the Office of the National Working Committee on Ageing and the China National Association of Ageing compiled the monumental reference book China Ageing Work Yearbook. Spanning the years 1982-2002, the China Ageing Work Yearbook is composed of seven parts: "Organizational Structures of Ageing Work," "Discussions on Ageing Work by the Party and Government and Leaders of the Party and State," "Policy and Regulations, Documents, and Key Speeches by Leaders of Ageing Work Organizations," "Ageing Issues and Scientific Research on Ageing Work," "International Affairs of Ageing Work," "Major Events in Ageing Work (1981-2002)," and "Statistical Data on Ageing Work." It meticulously records the historical evolution of ageing work organizations, documents major events and activities in the development of the ageing cause over the past 20 years, records the discussions on ageing work by leaders of the Party and State and at Party Congresses and National People's Congresses, and collects relevant foundational data for the development of the ageing cause. The publication of the China Ageing Work Yearbook is the crystallization of collective efforts by generations in China's ageing cause, embodying the wisdom, dedication, and hard work of generations dedicated to this field. We sincerely hope that the China Ageing Work Yearbook will make its due contribution to the continuous innovation and development of the ageing cause, and that it will provide sincere and effective service to those engaged in ageing work and those passionate about the ageing cause. We hope that through the China Ageing Work Yearbook, readers will gain a deeper understanding of China's ageing cause, show greater concern for it, conduct more research on it, and offer stronger support for it.
