Features: This textbook consists of 8 chapters, focusing on common diseases in routine X-ray examinations. Due to the limited availability of contrast examinations, we have grouped gastrointestinal and urinary tract contrast examinations into one chapter, which also provides a detailed introduction to commonly used contrast agents. From a clinical perspective, the book includes a chapter on the diagnosis of abdominal plain films, covering abnormal findings, particularly those related to acute abdominal conditions. In these chapters, we have also included content on the evaluation of radiographs, tailored to the characteristics of community radiologists. Although most regional hospitals lack modern imaging equipment such as CT scanners, radiologists in these settings frequently encounter CT and MRI images. This necessitates familiarity with these imaging modalities and a basic understanding of advancements in current imaging medicine. The chapters on cranial imaging diagnosis and the fundamentals of new imaging technologies are designed to achieve this purpose. In the general introduction chapter, in addition to the basic theory of X-rays, we have added detailed content on X-ray equipment, films, and imaging techniques, also tailored to the needs of community radiologists.
