Features: This collection includes 54 works, all family-owned pieces, most of which have been unseen before, created during Qian Songyan's artistic peak in the 1960s and 1970s (including a few sketches). A significant portion of these works were painted in Beijing. These pieces represent part of his new Chinese painting, each featuring full compositions, meticulous elegance, and embodying the level of mastery achieved in his mature period. Notably, many of the works are northern sketches, such as Feng Province Railway, Northern Frontier Families, Beijing Gong Wang Garden, Qingdao, Yun Qiao, Zhoukoudian, Gubeikou, Dazhai, Jiaozhuanghu, (Liangyashan), Miyun Sha Railway, and Miyun Reservoir. These subjects, rarely explored by even Beijing painters, have been transformed by Qian Songyan into beautiful artworks with certain political and ideological significance. First, his choice of new themes and celebratory subjects. Second, the emotions he infused into his new landscape paintings are sincere and steadfast. Third, while Qian Songyan's art incorporates certain modern elements, such as a degree of linear perspective and the representation of light, its foundation remains rooted in traditional landscape painting forms and brushwork techniques.
