Features: When an infant is born, a mother and a father are also born simultaneously. For young parents who are new to parenting and often feel overwhelmed, it is especially important to have a practical parenting guide series that helps develop a child's potential. This book is just such a guide that helps new parents effortlessly develop their child's potential through parent-child activities.
A poet once said, "Children are the parents of adults." It is the child who rekindles our love for new life and teaches us how to be parents through the process of helping them grow. Most young parents in China today have only one child, just as the morning sun is always new—each day of a child's growth is also new. In this sense, we are all new parents every day. Through years of experience in parenting guidance, we have deeply felt that new parents need to master two things: scientific educational concepts and effective operational methods.
Having only educational concepts is not enough because when faced with specific parenting issues, you may still feel lost, unsure of how to proceed. On the other hand, knowing a few operational methods without the guidance of educational concepts means you cannot generalize. Therefore, both are equally important.
The core educational concept of Happy Spring is personalized potential development education. Under this concept, an operational method for developing children's potential is established based on assessment. As a result, this book series is the operational guide for Happy Spring's "0-6 Years Old Children's Intelligence Assessment Expert Consultation System Software." It has two prominent features:
1. A step-by-step arrangement of developmental goals and operational methods based on the sequence of ability development in 0-6-year-old infants and toddlers, as well as the five major domains: gross motor skills, fine motor skills, cognition, language, and social behavior.
2. A monthly comprehensive ability assessment of each activity (see "Assessment Table Usage Instructions") to gain a deeper understanding of the child's level and characteristics of ability development, enabling more targeted personalized education.
Of course, a child's growth is not passive; it is not "taught" out of them. Every child has their own unique development timeline. Certain exercises in specific areas can be moved up or down based on the child's interest and existing ability characteristics, with the completion time recorded—this is your child's "unique development timeline."
This book series is one of the outcomes of the sub-project "0-6 Years Old Integrated Infant and Toddler Potential Development Theory and Application Comprehensive Research" under the National Ministry of Education's key project "Scientific Education—Developing the Potential of Young Children," led by Professor Cheng Huai of the Beijing Happy Spring Children's Development Research Center. The entire series consists of nine volumes: one for the 0-2 age group, which mainly introduces the functions and play methods of various intellectual toys to accompany the child's growth and promote potential development; and eight volumes for the 2-6 age group, published every six months, which mainly introduce parent-child games, small crafts, and more, encouraging children to think, speak, and act, fostering the comprehensive and harmonious development of various abilities.
The writing of this series reflects the dedication of many experts, scholars, and teachers from Cheng Huai's Studio over three years.
