Features: The author devoted nearly half of his life and energy to this work, starting with the education of his own children, then expanding to large-scale parent training, and finally applying it to the general practice of children. Through continuous research, practice, improvement, and enrichment, he developed a systematic, age-appropriate (3-13 years old) children's quality education program called the "Yijia Equation." The "Yijia Equation" has been hailed by many parents as the "American Education Method." In reality, the "Yijia Equation" is a unique Chinese education program that integrates the essence of both Eastern and Western educational cultures.
There are two important reasons for the name "Yijia":
On the one hand, the scientificity, targeted nature, and operability of the "Yijia Equation." It fully stimulates children's learning interest and initiative while placing special emphasis on moral education. The "Yijia Equation" teaches knowledge in accordance with the cognitive process: questioning—exploring—practicing—discussing—concluding. It activates children's brains comprehensively, "weaving" their thinking both vertically and horizontally to form a "network-style thinking" brain.
On the other hand, the "Yijia Equation" emphasizes communication and cooperation with parents. After each training session, there are reports, monthly family education lectures, and tailored education for every child ("teaching according to aptitude"). Thanks to the parents' participation and close cooperation, "Yijia" has achieved encouraging results.
In this book, the author hopes to awaken those blind and unquestioning parents through his experience in educating his daughter and his practice in teaching groups of children. He urges them to wake up and shift the focus of family education from pursuing knowledge and scores to cultivating children's character and abilities. Let the children go free and give them a true childhood.
