Features: Since ancient times, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory has included statements such as "the kidneys are the root of congenital essence," "the kidneys are the foundation of yin and yang and the source of water and fire," and "the kidneys are the source of life's driving force." Not only do TCM experts emphasize the importance of tonifying the kidneys in treating diseases, but the general public also widely recognizes that tonifying the kidneys plays a role in strengthening the body and delaying aging. Tonic wines for the kidneys have been an effective method used by TCM practitioners and the folk people in China to treat kidney deficiency conditions and regulate sub-health states, as well as to improve and enhance kidney function. To meet the learning, research, self-preparation, and product development needs of a broad readership, especially TCM researchers, TCM enthusiasts, clinical TCM practitioners, and managers of TCM pharmaceutical companies, the author, following the publication of The Production and Application of TCM, has extensively collected materials, conducted in-depth research, and spent three years to compile a specialized book on tonic wines for the kidneys—The Production and Application of TCM Tonic Wines for the Kidneys. The main body of the book is divided into four chapters: Chapter 1: Tonic wines for invigorating yang; Chapter 2: Tonic wines for nourishing yin; Chapter 3: Tonic wines for strengthening the waist; Chapter 4: Tonic wines for consolidating essence. The book includes nearly 700 tonic wines for the kidneys recorded in historical literature and passed down through folk traditions. Under each entry, the main herbs, processing methods, efficacy, applicable conditions, dosage and usage, precautions, contraindications, variant formulas with the same name, herbal annotations, and supplementary notes are introduced in detail. In addition to the main body, the book also includes two appendices: Appendix 1: "Commercial tonic wines for the kidneys"; Appendix 2: "Commonly used TCM herbs for tonifying the kidneys," for reference. The book is written in a fluent and easy-to-understand style, with the tonic wines for the kidneys described being effective for their intended conditions, simple to produce, and easy to apply.
