Features: "General Theory of TCM Prevention and Treatment" is a newly established course introduced in the mid-to-late 1980s, aiming to systematically introduce the fundamental theories, principles, and methods of TCM in health preservation, disease prevention, and treatment. These contents have become a knowledge base for advanced TCM professionals. Since its inception, the course has accumulated considerable experience. To further enhance the teaching quality of this course and better adapt to societal development, we have revised this textbook based on years of teaching practice and a wealth of accumulated materials. Building on tradition while embracing innovation, we strive to reflect the following features:
1. Fully embodying the traditional focus on promoting TCM characteristics, the textbook provides a relatively comprehensive and systematic introduction to relevant TCM content, reflecting the essence of tradition.
2. Infusing a sense of modernity: The textbook selectively incorporates the scientific and rational core of previous research achievements and combines them with modern societal realities to introduce new practical applications of TCM in enhancing physical fitness, improving sub-health states, and anti-aging. This allows students to feel the pulse of the times and enables them to connect theory with practice.
3. Highlighting key content: While comprehensively supplementing new content, the textbook appropriately retains important elements while removing scattered, trivial parts and unnecessary original citations. The material is reorganized to make the main structure clear, branches distinct, and key points prominent, enabling students to grasp the essentials efficiently.
4. Concise and lively expression: The textbook is organized in the order of health preservation, disease prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, followed by supplementary materials to broaden perspectives. The language is kept concise and engaging.
5. Stimulating learning interest: Each chapter includes review and reflection questions to encourage students to conduct further self-study and independent thinking based on the textbook knowledge, fostering their ability to connect theory with practice. The textbook condenses the content of health preservation, disease prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, allowing students to systematically master the main points of these fields in a shorter time, thereby improving learning efficiency. Each chapter is accompanied by relevant materials for further reference during in-depth study.
