Interventional Treatment for Coronary Heart Disease: Technology and Strategies

Author: Ma Changsheng

Publish Date: 2004-10-01
Features: The book is divided into four parts: Strategy (Chapters 1-12), Technology (Chapters 13-31), Complications (Chapters 32-36), and Prevention. The second edition removed some "outdated" chapters and added new ones such as "Revascularization Strategies in the Drug-Eluting Stent Era," "Technical Key Points of Drug-Eluting Stents," "Silent Myocardial Ischemia," and "Secondary Prevention for PCI Postoperative Patients." Some related chapters were also merged. Only 53 out of the 162 PCI cases from the first edition were retained, while a large number of more complex and representative PCI cases from current interventional treatment practices were added, bringing the total number of cases in the book to 200. Additionally, to help readers understand or quickly access basic concepts and knowledge related to PCI, a collection of "Basic Concepts and Related Definitions" related to PCI was compiled. The second edition still adopts a concise, chart-based format, but the table title hierarchy has been appropriately modified to better achieve clarity, simplicity, and practicality, making it easier for frontline clinicians to quickly access and master relevant knowledge.
