Features: Beginners of electronic keyboards often find it easy to start, build a solid foundation, and persevere without giving up halfway—this is the key issue the authors aim to address. This book draws on teaching experiences from France and the United States, starting with finger reading. Children can count numbers, look at the sheet music, and loudly recite the fingerings while playing the keyboard, combining eyes, mouth, and hands in practice. Traditional teaching methods believe that playing white keys is easier to relax than black keys, and exercises usually begin with the C major scale, which does not include black keys. However, once students become accustomed to white keys, they naturally develop a psychological barrier when playing black keys. In terms of solving the issue of smooth power flow, this textbook advocates starting with black keys first when beginners have no concept of either black or white keys. Of course, coordination will not be perfect at first. After a period of black-key practice, students will feel more confident and relaxed when playing white keys psychologically. Based on this guiding principle, the selection of exercises in this textbook is focused on: first, easy entry with a large volume of keyboard basic training; second, diverse styles, including various playing styles from ancient to modern, both Chinese and foreign; third, prioritizing time-tested, beautiful, and melodious tunes. The goal is to highlight teaching priorities, enabling students to progress step by step and enjoyably overcome the beginner stage, laying a solid foundation for self-entertainment and further study.
