Features: Wang Hao?u (c. 1200–1264), a native of Zhaozhou in the Yuan Dynasty (now Zhao County, Hebei Province), was one of the representative figures of the Yishui School. Wang was highly experienced in medicine and had written extensively. This book collects five of Wang's extant works in the following order: Tangye Bencao (3 volumes), Yin Zheng Lüe Li (unnumbered volumes, with an appendix Hai Zhang's Treatment Records), Zhi Shi Nan Zhi (2 volumes), Hai Zhang's Smallpox Treatises (1 volume), and Yi Lüe Yuan Rong (12 volumes). Given that these books were written in ancient times and their various editions differ, it is inevitable that some passages may be difficult to understand, and errors such as omissions, repetitions, or inversions may exist. To better utilize these ancient medical texts, the included medical works have been collated and annotated. Additionally, an article titled "A Study of Wang Hao?u's Medical Academic Thought" has been written, providing a detailed introduction and discussion of Wang's life, writings, mentorship, academic thought, diagnostic methods, practical experiences, and his influence on later medical development. A "Bibliography of Academic Papers" is also included, highlighting the titles of studies published in the past two decades by modern scholars on Wang's life, writings, academic thought, and diagnostic experiences, for readers to reference. This book integrates the collation of ancient texts with modern research, providing a relatively complete and accurate reflection of Wang Hao?u's academic thought and diagnostic practices. It is a valuable and practical medical work, suitable for reference by both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine practitioners learning TCM, as well as medical students and self-taught individuals studying TCM.
