Features: This series of textbooks is the only officially designated by the China Financial Planners Standard Committee for establishing the qualification certification system for Chinese financial planners, organizing the CFP examination, and providing training. This series was jointly compiled and published by the China Financial Planners Standard Committee, bringing together the most authoritative and professional experts in the field of personal finance in China. It is currently the authoritative work and textbook for personal financial planning in China. The full name of CFP is Certified Financial Planner (CFP). It is a level qualification certificate issued by the CFP Standard Committees in various countries to professionals who have completed the required training, possess the necessary work experience, and have passed the examination. In September 2004, the China Financial Planners Standard Committee was established and proposed the requirement to join the International CFP Council. In its early stages, a key task of the committee was to establish the examination system, train examiners, and prepare the training for China's first batch of financial planners fully compliant with international CFP standards. On November 1 and November 15 of this year, the training for Chinese financial planners under the guidance of the International CFP Council will officially begin. The training will involve 120 industry elites from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and 60 from Bank of China, who were selected through rigorous examinations from over a thousand applicants. They will participate in a 240-hour, full-board program. To prepare for this training, the preparatory team of the standard committee had engaged the People's Bank of China Graduate School, Peking University, and Tsinghua University to jointly organize the program as early as the beginning of the year. After more than half a year of preparation, a textbook with five modules and over 2 million words will be launched by China CITIC Press in November. This book is divided into seven parts. Part I covers the investment planning environment, Part II provides a brief introduction to modern investment theory, and the following three, four, five, and six parts introduce various types of investment instruments, namely fixed-income securities, common stocks, funds and derivative financial products, and other investment instruments, respectively. Part VII introduces how to conduct personal asset portfolio management. Through studying this book, we hope readers will understand the basic principles of modern investment theory, master the characteristics, returns, and risks of various investment instruments currently available in China, obtain relevant information needed for investment, and conduct analyses of a certain level to provide better investment planning advice to clients. Each chapter begins with learning objectives, and it is recommended that readers check their learning progress after completing each chapter to see if they have met these requirements. Attempting to complete the review questions at the end of each chapter will also greatly help in mastering the content of the chapter.
