Nan Huaijin on History and Life

Author: Lian Xingqian
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-02-01
Features: This book is based on works such as Mr. Nan's The Analects Decoded, Mencius Explained, The Way of Lao Tzu, Zen and the Way of the Tao, The New Generation, The I Ching Miscellany, The I Ching: Line by Line, The Bodhisattva Guanyin and the Guanyin Method, and Eight Lectures on Poems from the Golden Grain Studio. What I did was essentially "cutting and pasting," taking excerpts and slightly organizing them. Fortunately, Mr. Nan's books have a rigorous structure throughout, but even extracting a passage can stand alone as a complete piece. Most of the article titles are original subheadings from the books, with only a small portion added by me. During the editing process, only a few words or sentences were deleted. It was purely technical.
