Features: Interpersonal skills are achieved through communication. In the new "English Curriculum Standards," clear requirements have been set for middle school students. By the time they graduate, junior high students should be able to understand statements on familiar topics and participate in discussions, as well as exchange information with others on various daily-life topics and express their own opinions. In recent years' junior high school entrance exams, communicative tasks have occupied an important position. To help a large number of junior high students firmly and accurately master communicative skills in the junior high stage, we have compiled this book, "Link English Junior High Speaking," for junior high students to use. This book is divided into four parts: Basics, Improvement, Comprehensive, and Resources.
In the Basics section, we have selected and explained 15 of the most commonly used sentence patterns in English. In the Improvement section, we have written 30 units, each including: core sentence patterns, functional expressions, model dialogues, explanations, and "Mid-Autumn Exam Online." In the model dialogue section, each unit selects about four dialogues, integrating the classic sentence patterns and functional expressions discussed earlier to teach students how to apply what they have learned in practice. In the explanations section, in addition to explaining the previously learned sentence patterns, we also interweave explanations of some British and American customs. In the Comprehensive section, we have compiled 21 sets of exercises, most of which are taken from recent years' junior high school entrance exam questions, along with answers and brief analyses. In the Resources section, we have included some oral materials for students to use and reference.
The dialogues we have designed in the book are mostly centered around the daily-life scenarios of junior high students, making them relatable and contemporary. They not only provide material for students to consolidate communicative tasks but also help them develop their thinking and cultivate their abilities.
