Features: This series is titled "Contemporary Journalism and Communication Studies," naturally addressing this complex yet vibrant era, the Chinese journalism industry currently undergoing difficult transformation and reform. Therefore, the views presented in this series strive to incorporate the latest research findings in academia, the content aims to reflect the highest standards of contemporary journalism studies, and the cited examples are primarily recent and representative cases to highlight the "contemporary" characteristics. In today's society, the maximum effectiveness of "journalism" relies on "communication." In this sense, the journalism industry is also a communication industry. We neither advocate for communication studies to replace journalism studies nor for journalism studies to exclude communication studies. The term "journalism and communication studies" we use is a name intended to include some content that traditional journalism studies may not fully accommodate.
