Young adult novel, hot recruitment! In the awkward youth, everyone has the right to dream. Want to turn your dreams into words? Start taking action! What is university? A "grassroots of youth" full of fierce struggles and decadence. What is middle school? An "flowering youth" carefree and innocent. What is high school? It's the time of inexplicable laughter and joy, inexplicable sadness and melancholy, a time that is both sour and sweet. Awkward youth, the prelude to university's "grassroots of youth," the closing of middle school's "flowering youth." And in the high school of Li, the air is full of flames. Everyone is trapped at their small desks, burying their heads in hard work, rehearsing for the college entrance exam over and over. What they can't control is the heart of a teenager. Eighteen-year-old He Tao is lost in the sea of textbooks, while nineteen-year-old You Qingge waits for her second chance to cross that threshold. Eighteen-year-old Gu Han and eighteen-year-old Song Ying, who seem like oil and water, have been in opposition for two and a half years. Eighteen-year-old Meng Chuan feels that under the glory of an excellent student, he has reached for the green apple of love, though the person left behind is heartbroken. Happy, sad, suppressed, passionate—after all, they are still young. So, ambiguously and intimately, they walk through three years of awkward youth, heading toward the yet-to-be-seen "grassroots of youth."
