Features: The rapid development of computer network technology has brought not only technical but also conceptual changes to faculty and students in higher education institutions. Teachers on the front lines, after years of exploration, combined market demands with the content of the Network section of the Computer Technology and Software Professional Qualification (Level) Examination, have divided the teaching of Computer Network courses into three levels. The first is the basic knowledge section, which introduces in detail the architecture of computer networks and related knowledge. The second is the engineering technology section, which introduces in detail the knowledge of computer networking and engineering applications. The third is the applied technology section, which introduces in detail the commonly used network knowledge on the Internet. "Practical Tutorial on Network Engineering and Structured Cabling" was born in this context. This book covers the engineering technology section and is divided into eleven chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the basic concepts and architecture of computer networks. Chapters 2 and 3 introduce the hardware equipment and networking technologies of computer networks. Chapters 4, 5, and 6 introduce the features, installation, management, and services of the typical network operating system Windows 2000. Chapters 7 and 8 introduce the commonly used technologies for the Internet/Intranet. Chapter 9 introduces structured cabling technology. Chapter 10 introduces the technologies and application examples of network system integration. Chapter 11 provides eight reference experiments required for network engineering. This book, starting from the advancement and practicality of technology, uses ten chapters to introduce the relevant knowledge and practical technologies of computer networks and engineering practice. Chapter 11 provides reference experiments required for network engineering. This book can not only serve as a reference textbook for applied higher education institutions teaching network engineering, structured cabling, and computer network technology or engineering courses but also as a reference material for candidates preparing for the practical part of the Computer Technology and Software Professional Qualification (Level) Examination for "Network Engineer" and "Network Administrator."
