Features: With the rapid development of various sectors in China, the term "white-collar" is increasingly being used across various fields of society. However, a precise definition of "white-collar" has yet to be established. As the target audience of this book, we define "white-collar" as a salaried class primarily engaged in intellectual labor, characterized by a well-educated background, high income, a favorable work environment, a sense of social responsibility, and alignment with social trends. They are typically employees of large multinational corporations, listed companies, or well-performing private enterprises, civil servants in government agencies, or administrative staff in institutions (such as the scientific community, education, legal profession, arts, and healthcare). They possess a strong educational background and favorable remuneration, and they adhere to the philosophy of continuous learning. The unique status and educational background of "white-collar" workers give them distinct cultural demands and lifestyle interests. They serve in specific functional departments, and their stable income fosters confidence, yet they often feel a sense of suppression. In the operation of enterprises or institutions, they are polite, smiling, and patient, but behind this facade lies a close connection to the actual interests of the company or department. They bear various targets and work under anxious tension to fulfill challenging tasks. Therefore, their physical and mental health urgently require counseling. This enables them to maintain and enhance their health from biological, psychological, and social perspectives in daily life and work. The purpose of writing this book is to provide "white-collar" workers with a self-help guide for maintaining and improving health, as well as a diagnostic and treatment guide for common diseases they are prone to. This allows "white-collar" workers not only to maintain and enhance their physical and mental health but also to seek medical help correctly when necessary (e.g., in cases of health events, health issues, or illness) and receive assistance from healthcare professionals. In recent years, the editors of this book have dedicated significant time to the editing of the China Mental Health Network (WWW.CMA-MH.ORG). As a result, in addition to reviewing a large amount of relevant materials from newspapers and magazines, they have also had the opportunity to explore a vast amount of information from sister websites. Citations have been noted during references, and heartfelt gratitude is expressed to the relevant authors.
