Features: In line with the spirit of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China's document No. [2001]4 on "Creating conditions for the use of foreign languages in teaching public and professional courses in undergraduate education," the School of Nursing at Peking University, in conjunction with the implementation of its teaching reform plan, has organized qualified disciplines and teachers to actively carry out bilingual teaching, promoting the cultivation of internationally-oriented talents and contributing to the creation of a first-class university. Over the past two years, teachers have attempted to select original English and American nursing textbooks for bilingual teaching, achieving initial results. To improve the level of bilingual teaching in our school, provide teaching materials for bilingual teaching practice for teachers and students, and to facilitate exchanges and share experiences in bilingual teaching with teachers and students from sister institutions, the teachers of our school have carefully organized and refined the teaching plans used in bilingual teaching over the years, as well as backup teaching plans, and have referenced foreign textbooks to compile this book. The book is divided into two volumes, with comprehensive content, including fundamental nursing, internal medicine nursing, surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynecology nursing, pediatric nursing, as well as nursing education, nursing research, nursing management, community nursing, ethics, and other nursing and humanities subjects. The content of the book is selected from original English and American textbooks and is published in a Chinese-English format. Each section is accompanied by key vocabulary prompts to facilitate reading and comprehension for teachers and students. An appendix at the end of the book includes some CGFNS examination questions and answers for reference by learners. This book is suitable for undergraduate nursing students for learning and professional teachers for teaching, and can also serve as professional English review material for graduate entrance examination candidates.
