Publish Date: 2003-08-01
Features: This book introduces the basic pathological changes and common diseases of various domestic animals, poultry, and wildlife, including pigs, cattle, yaks, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, dogs, rabbits, deer, monkeys, and leopards. It covers over 600 diseases, including 295 basic pathological changes and common diseases (such as poisoning, nutritional metabolic diseases, pathological deposition diseases, and deformities) of various systems and organs, 195 infectious diseases, 61 parasitic diseases, and 58 tumor-related diseases. Additionally, it includes several emerging diseases such as "mad cow disease" and "hemorrhagic septicemia of waterfowl." Most of the images in this book were collected by the author during their studies in Japan and their subsequent work in teaching, research, and practice. However, due to limitations in experience and environmental conditions, the existing materials fall far short of systematic and comprehensive coverage. To make the content of this book richer and more practically valuable, high-quality images were selected from the following outstanding domestic and international books: Color Atlas of Meat Hygiene Pathology edited by the Japan National Meat Hygiene Inspection Association, A Color Atlas of Diseases and Disorders of Cattle edited by R. W. Blowey and A. D. Weaver, Color Atlas of Avian Disease Diagnosis edited by Chen Jianhong and Zhang Jipei, Bird Diseases edited by the Japan Avian Disease Research Society, Color Illustrated Guide to Rabbit Disease Diagnosis edited by Chen Huaitao, and Color Illustrated Guide to Pig Disease Diagnosis edited by Gan Menghou and Gao Qiyu.
