Features: The cultural exchange between China and Japan has a long history. In terms of reference books, as early as the 9th century, Japanese monk Kukai compiled the book Zhuansu Manwei Mingyi (Japan's Tenmei 7, completed after 803 AD) based on the Yupian written by Gu Yewang of the Southern Dynasties period in China. In the 10th century, another Japanese scholar Genshun published Wamei Leijuchao (abbreviated as Wamei Chao, completed during Japan's Shohei period, 931-938 AD). These two books are the earliest reference books in Japan related to Chinese characters and Chinese vocabulary.
