Author: Xinhua Monthly Press
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2004-09-01
Features: The book is guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and the Important Thought of "Three Represents," based on the historical materialist viewpoint. It faithfully and objectively records the footsteps of our Party, country, and people. The book primarily draws materials from the Xinhua Monthly magazine and references other published or released books, periodicals, and literature. It documents major events, conferences, documents, speeches, policies, regulations, and other significant occurrences both domestically and internationally from October 1949, the founding of the People's Republic of China, to August 2004, as well as obituaries of prominent figures. The entries are arranged in chronological order by year, month, and day. For entries without a specific time, the reporting time of Xinhua News Agency or newspapers is used. Entries with only a month but no exact date are generally placed at the end of the month. When multiple entries occur at the same time, only the time is stated at the beginning of the entry, and the rest are marked with a "△" to indicate the same time. Most laws and regulations are annotated with their release and implementation dates for easy reference by readers.
