Author: Xinhua Monthly Press
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2004-09-01
Features: The book is guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and the Important Thought of "Three Represents," based on the historical materialist perspective. It faithfully and objectively records the progress of our Party, nation, and people. The book primarily draws its material from the Xinhua Monthly magazine and references other published or released books, periodicals, and documents. It includes events, conferences, documents, speeches, policies, regulations, and other significant occurrences with a nationwide or international impact from October 1949, the founding of the People's Republic of China, to August 2004, as well as obituaries of prominent figures. The entries are arranged in chronological order by year, month, and day. Uncertain dates are marked with the reporting time from Xinhua News Agency or newspapers. Entries with only a month but no specific date are generally placed at the end of the month. For multiple entries on the same date, only the time is noted at the beginning of the entry, with subsequent entries marked with a "△" to indicate the same date. Most laws and regulations are annotated with their date of promulgation and implementation, facilitating reader reference.
