Features: The New University French series is a set of university French teaching materials developed by the French Group of the Advisory Committee on Foreign Language Teaching in Higher Education, based on the experience of using the original University French textbook. It was reorganized and compiled according to the "Teaching Syllabus for University French" (Second Edition), featuring strong practicality and contemporary characteristics. It is currently listed as a national-level planning textbook for general higher education by the Ministry of Education. The outstanding features of this series are as follows:

3. To improve students' cultural literacy, the series provides an introduction to the culture of France and French-speaking regions. For example, it includes cultural background knowledge, such as poems, proverbs, humorous stories, famous quotes, maps of the Paris Metro, and tourist maps of Paris.
4. To meet societal demands, this series is closely aligned with various current French language exams. These include the College French Level 4 Exam, the National Unified Examination for Master's Degree Applicants with Equivalent Academic Qualifications, the Civil Service Examination, and the French TEF Exam.
5. To facilitate teaching and self-study, the series also includes a teaching guide, which covers instructions for using the textbook, translations of texts and reading materials, and answers to exercises. The series is also accompanied by audio cassettes for teaching.
