This textbook is divided into four parts. Part (Chapters) primarily discusses foreign exchange and balance of payments, laying a theoretical and business knowledge foundation for subsequent chapters. The second part (Chapters 2 to 5) focuses on foreign exchange rates and exchange rate systems, foreign exchange operations and rate conversion, foreign exchange risk management, and China's foreign exchange management system. The third part (Chapters 6 to 9) covers the European money market and international commercial loans, derivative financial instruments markets, short-term credits for foreign trade, and export credits. The fourth part (Chapter 10) discusses the international monetary system and financial organizations. The law of human cognition follows a pattern from the perceptual to the rational, and then back from the rational to the perceptual in a cyclical and deepening process. This textbook follows the pattern of cognitive processes, beginning each chapter with a case study to introduce the key knowledge points, followed by detailed discussions. At the end, selected typical cases from foreign trade practice are provided, requiring students to analyze and operate them to enhance and improve their analytical and problem-solving skills. This writing method is a pioneering attempt in similar textbooks and is a major feature of this textbook.
