Features: This book is not a comparative study of constitutions of all countries, but is limited to a comparative study of the constitutions of eight countries in the contemporary world. These eight countries are the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, and contemporary China. Considering that the Constitution of China has fundamental differences in social system and guiding ideology compared to the constitutions of the other seven countries, China is placed last. Among the constitutions of the seven countries outside China, the Constitution of the United States is the primary research object. This book aims to study the current constitutions of the eight countries, reviewing some relevant history on a few issues and primarily focusing on the national constitutionalism of these eight countries. Generally, it does not involve local issues.
