Features: The main project of the Huangbizhuang Reservoir Safety Enhancement and Consolidation officially commenced on March 1, 1999, with a total investment of 994 million yuan. It is the largest-scale reservoir safety enhancement and consolidation project in China, particularly the concrete seepage wall of the auxiliary dam covers an area of nearly 300,000 m2, ranking among the world's largest for similar single projects. The Huangbizhuang Reservoir Safety Enhancement and Consolidation Project not only involves multiple projects but also faces exceptionally complex geological conditions. During the construction of the concrete seepage wall of the auxiliary dam, 7 collapses occurred, with their scale unprecedented. There were no existing domestic experiences to refer to for such measures. Currently, the project has been completed. Analysis of inspection, monitoring data, and operational conditions indicates that the engineering quality is excellent, with highly significant results. During the construction process, successful experiences and technological innovations were achieved in construction management, survey and design, supervision, construction, quality supervision, and scientific research. This compilation includes 88 articles contributed by all parties involved in the project, representing the scientific research achievements and intellectual crystallization of the engineering builders.
