Features: Reproduction is essential for the continuation, evolution, and development of a species, and strengthening reproductive medicine research has garnered widespread attention. Statistics show that 10% to 15% of couples of reproductive age are unable to conceive due to various infertility and sterility conditions. This not only causes rifts in some families that were once happy and brings them great mental distress but also, in some cases, leads to severe social consequences. Therefore, strengthening reproductive medicine research and prioritizing the treatment of infertility and sterility hold profound significance. Traditional Chinese medicine has made significant contributions to the prosperity of the Chinese nation and has accumulated extensive experience in treating infertility and sterility through long-term medical practice. To this day, these experiences remain irreplaceable in the treatment of such conditions. With societal development, people's lifestyles and living environments have undergone significant changes, such as accelerated life rhythms, increased mental stress, and intensified environmental pollution, leading to a growing trend of infertility among couples and more complex causes. Modern reproductive medicine has also deepened its understanding of the pathophysiology of infertility and sterility. At the same time, these new theories and methods have created opportunities for the development of traditional medicine, which has revitalized traditional practices in this field. Especially since the 1990s, significant progress has been made in clinical research, with the establishment of many new technologies and herbal formulas, achieving better therapeutic outcomes, and fully demonstrating the great advantages of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in treating infertility and sterility. To summarize the latest achievements in the study of traditional Chinese medicine for infertility and sterility and to provide references and inspiration for clinical treatment, we have organized experts with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating infertility and sterility from urology, gynecology, and andrology.
