Detective Kindaichi the Youngster: Horror at Ura-Monzukyō

Publication Date: 2002-05-01
Features: Four boys and one girl are walking on a stone path in the forest. It's pitch dark around them, not like dusk. Added to the thick fog slowly rising, they can only see within 10 meters. Despite this, they still move forward silently on the sloping stone path, using flashlights to navigate. The narrow stone path is covered with moss due to long periods without footsteps, making it very slippery. Scattered around the path, one can occasionally see buildings similar to villas, almost all abandoned and uninhabited. Upon closer inspection, the outer walls of the houses are weathered and broken, and the window panes are shattered. Each house has a red metal roof covered in a thick layer of pine needles, like a layer of mud. Shining a flashlight into the houses reveals mildew spots on the curtains.
