Features: With the development of the polymer processing industry, twin-screw extruders, as one of the main processing equipment for polymers, have undergone rapid development and have gained increasingly widespread application due to their excellent processing performance. Against this background, people hope to gain more understanding of twin-screw extruders. However, to date, most introductions to twin-screw extrusion theory, extrusion performance, applications, and design have been scattered across journal articles and related books. Published monographs abroad, as well as the author's earlier monograph "Plastic Blending and Equipment," have mostly focused on the twin-screw extrusion process, with no monographs yet available that cover twin-screw extrusion processes, twin-screw extruder design, and applications comprehensively. Clearly, this is very inconvenient for people to gain a systematic, in-depth, and comprehensive understanding of twin-screw extruder systems. For this reason, the author has compiled the monograph "Twin-Screw Extruders and Their Applications" to serve readers and hopes to contribute to the theoretical research of twin-screw extrusion processes, the design, application, and development of twin-screw extruders in China.
